MAKROLON SL is an enhanced
UV-resistant polycarbonate sheet offering exceptional weatherability
& superior impact strength. Available in clear, solar
colors, or white, MAKROLON SL is the perfect choice for extended
service life and resistance to color shift. MAKROLON SunLife
is easily thermoformed, fabricated and deocrated requiring
no special forming techniques on either male or female molds.
MAKROLON SunLife is warranted against excessive yellowing,
hazing, breakage and loss of light transmission.
MAKROLON SL Sign applications
include predominantly white sign faces, elevated sign mast
installations, and other harsh environment installations.
Architectural applications
include covered walkways, barrel vaults, upper story school
glazing, bus shelters, and thermoformed skylights.

MAKROLON sheet is virtually unbreakable with 30 times
the impact strength of acrylic and approximately 10 times
that of impact modified acrylic
MAKROLON
polycarbonate sheet products satisfy major building code requirements
for a CC-1 rating in construction applications (BOCA, ICBO,
SBCCI). MAKROLON is approved for Consumer Product Safety Commission
(CPSC 16CFR 1201) Categories I & II and ANSI Z97.2-1984
Safety Glazing Standards. MAKROLON sheet products are listed
with Underwriters Laboratories for the UL flammability standard
and the UL972 standard for burglary resistant glazing materials.
Additionally, MAKROLON is listed with Underwriters Laboratories
for the UL48 standard for component sign accessories in rigid
sign face systems.
