A&C Plastics
The Distributors’ Distributor

June 21, 2016
From the stage of the Blue Man Group Theatre in Las Vegas to the logo at your local Apple Store. From the brightly colored sculptures that grace the median strip on Santa Monica Boulevard to the floor over the engine room on the Battleship of Texas.

Plastic sheets from A&C Plastics are anywhere and everywhere: at football stadiums and in shopping malls, on yachts and at major golf tournaments.

The “distributors’ distributor” sells to some 15 industries, especially the sign, skylight, greenhouse, point-of-purchase and fabrication industries. With over 200,000 square feet of inventory, A&C Plastics is the largest single distributor of plastic sheets in the U.S., known for both the breadth of its offerings and exceptional customer service. The largest variety of in-stock colors (more than 200) and sizes anywhere is only a phone call or a few clicks away, with same-day shipping for in-stock orders.

“And if we don’t have it, we’ll find it,” including oversized and specialty plastic sheets that are otherwise unavailable in the general marketplace, says President Carolyn Faulk. “We love to make our customers’ day.”

The company is based in Houston, with warehouse/office facilities in Chicago and Colorado Springs, and is looking to expand to the East and West coasts over the next three years.

Under Promise, Over Deliver
As proud as Faulk is of her company’s exceptional inventory, what really sets A&C Plastics apart, she says, is exemplary customer service. Her knowledgeable, experienced team members, all certified in the plastics industry, help customers find exactly what they need, time after time, at the best price.

“Small enough to know you, large enough to serve you,” the company takes pride in standing behind its product and meeting deadlines. “We love to under promise and over deliver,” Faulk says. “At A&C Plastics, what we sell is service. We throw in the plastic for free.”

Ask a Busy Person
Whoever first said, “If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it,” could have been talking about Carolyn Faulk.

The founder and president of A&C Plastics also owns and rents out more than 40 warehouses throughout the Houston area through Faulk Properties, which she started in 1975, and is looking forward to developing her remaining 15 acres. “I loved to play the game Monopoly when I was a kid, and I’m still playing Monopoly with Faulk Properties,” she says. “I’m just having fun.”

Plus, her nonprofit Faulk Foundation, established in 2008, provides an array of services aimed at making life a little easier and happier for cancer patients, homeless children, returning service members and many others. “Right now, we’re getting ready for Christmas in August, where we provide book bags filled with school supplies, toys and other items to needy children.”

Faulk, who started A&C Plastics in 1973 with “$5,000, no credit, just the will to keep working,” is a firm believer in giving back. “Because no one gets anywhere in life without the help of others,” she says. “So use your knowledge and your time to make someone’s day. And remember to have fun. When you do that, all the rest just comes.”
